The Fund's goal is to sponsor basic health and family planning projects in rural India. In one of the projects with the help of Lions Club of Warangal and the Rotary club of Warangal (A.P. state) eye check up camps were held in Redlawada and Kalleda villages. Eligible people were screened for cataract surgery and eye lens prescription. Cataract surgeries were performed on patients after transporting them to the nearest eye hospital. Suitable eye glasses were provided for these patients after the surgery.

In addition IRDF helped support a charitable Cancer hospital in Karimnagar District, Andhra Pradesh run by Sankshema Trust .
